You’ll arrive in Amboseli late morning and proceed on a game drive en route to your lodge or tented camp. After check-in and lunch, you’ll have time to relax before heading out for an afternoon game drive. Amboseli is renowned for its large herds of elephants, often seen moving gracefully across the plains with Mount Kilimanjaro as a stunning backdrop. Day 2: Amboseli National Park - Full Day
After an early breakfast, you’ll head out for a morning game drive when wildlife is most active, and the lighting is ideal for photography. This is the best time to capture iconic views of elephants beneath Mount Kilimanjaro, as well as spot predators returning from a night hunt. You’ll explore different areas of the park, including swamps fed by underground springs from the mountain, which attract elephants, hippos, and numerous bird species year-round. You’ll return to the lodge for lunch and some leisure time, enjoying the views or relaxing at the camp. In the afternoon, you’ll head out again for another game drive, allowing you to experience Amboseli’s changing landscapes and wildlife behaviour as the day cools. You’ll return to the lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight, with the sounds of the African wilderness around you.

After breakfast, you’ll check out of your lodge and enjoy a final morning game drive as you exit Amboseli National Park, offering one last opportunity to spot elephants, plains game, and predators against the stunning backdrop of Mount Kilimanjaro. Later in the morning, you’ll visit a traditional Maasai village (included in the package) where you’ll be welcomed by the local community and learn about their rich culture, customs, and way of life. The visit includes insights into traditional homesteads, dances, and daily activities, as well as an opportunity to interact with the Maasai people and purchase handcrafted souvenirs directly from the artisans.
