Nairobi National Park is located just a short distance from the capital city and this proximity makes it one of the few national parks in the world located within a city’s limits. Despite its small size, the park is home to a diverse array of wildlife including lions, buffaloes, rhinos and various antelope species. The park offers a one-of-a-kind safari experience and is an ideal choice for those seeking a quick escape into nature, and a chance to support urban wildlife conservation initiatives.

Pick up very early in the morning at the airport or a hotel of your choice and depart for Nairobi National Park. This unique wildlife sanctuary is just a few kilometres from Nairobi’s bustling city centre, but despite its proximity, different species of mammals can be found there. At around 10:30 am, check out of the park and drive to the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust to see the baby elephants during feeding time. Later, drive to the Galleria Mall for lunch.
Afterwards, drive towards Giraffe Centre to see and feed the famous Rothschild Giraffe and her family. You can observe, hand-feed or even kiss the giraffes from a raised wooden structure, which is quite an experience. You may also spot warthogs snuffling about in the mud.
Later, proceed to Karen Blixen Museum, which was once the centrepiece of a farm at the foot of the Ngong Hills. The farmhouse gained international fame with the release of the movie ‘Out of Africa’. Later in the evening, head to the carnivore restaurant for dinner, before dropping you off back at the hotel or airport.
